Well I have to start off by telling everyone that I am completely new to blogging, so I really have no idea what I am doing here!! But I am going to try my best! My name is Amber for those who may not already know that. I also want to point out real quick, I know that no one, with the exception of my teacher, read an essay I wrote about my name. In the essay I mentioned that my name is plain and simple, but for some reason hard to remember. I get called all kinds of things other than my name. The reason I am mentioning this is because, when I created my blog URL, my teacher posted a link to it on the school webpage under a link under my name, and my name was spelled "Ambir Kirtz." So, I rest my case! One of the simplest names ever, yet so easy to mess up!! I just had to get that out!! (Sorry to call you out Ms. Smith!)
Moving on from that....I little bit about me...I am a 27 year old mother to a beautiful 6 year old girl. I work full time, go to school full time, and raise a child full time. I have no idea what part time feels like as I have never been able to do anything part time. I am aiming to get my accounting degree, hopefully sooner rather than later. I am also in the process right now of purchasing my first home. My boyfriend and I will be closing on the house on February 28th!!!! I am so very excited, anxious, and scared half to death! My boyfriend Tim has already started planning projects in his head, so I am sure I will be posting plenty of entertaining stories about these adventures of his. Now, don't get me wrong, he is a "jack of all trades," but believe me when I say that he is a master of NONE!! I actually get a lot of entertainment from him when he comes up with his ideas and realizes about an hour or so into it that it is NOT as easy as they made it look on the Do It Yourself Network. He does well, just never without hiccups and bumps along the way.
My six year old is also a big comic relief for me. Has anyone ever seen the show "Kids Say the Darndest Things?" Everyone has, right? Well, my daughter would have been a great candidate for that show! She comes up with the craziest things sometimes. The things she wonders about make me wonder where they come from. Case in point, she asked me the other day "Mom, if the owl that lives in the tree behind our house comes into the yard and picks up Birdie (our dog) and takes her home, will he make her eat rats?" This was while we were doing her math homework, and the problem was about subtracting using beads. Where did that come from? Believe me, it gets better than that. I will keep everyone up to date on her crazy wonders. I promise, they're entertaining!
Now, as for me, I am an obviously busy person with very little free time. When I do get some free time I enjoy spending it with friends and family because they mean so.......yea, I'm not going to do a Facebook profile here!! Does anyone else get tired of reading that exact same line all the time?? I just like to live, laugh, and love. That's all I want and all I need and I will be happy!! I'm laid back and fun to hang out with, and can be quite the smart a**, so don't bring your feelings around here!
I guess that gives everyone a little bit of an idea about me and my life. So here we go, my first attempt at blogging! Please, feel free to let me know what I'm doing wrong!!
